Does the Depp Verdict Mean the End of the Me Too Movement in Minnesota Criminal Courts? Part 2-Video.

As I said in Part 1 of of this interview, "Me Too is real!" There have been an extraordinary number of women who have been mistreated and abused and the system has allowed it in Minnesota and across the country. At the same time, there have been those who have used this an opportunity to make false allegations. This is about the reaction to that and whether this was a rejection or simply a reasonable response to it is really the question. I don't believe it was a rejection. However, the problem was always the argument that "if they say it, it must be true." This just can't work if we believe in the presumption of innocence. If you are facing serious criminal charges in Minnesota, make sure that you contact an experienced criminal defense attorney.

“Sadly, despite the reality of the My Too Movement, there have been opportunists who have used it too make false allegations.”

Jack Rice appears on Court TV on 6/2/22 to discuss the the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard defamation verdict and what it means for the future. However, after the case was completed, there was no question that this may reflect a shift in the country regarding allegations, domestic assault and even Me Too to some small degree.

“Just because somebody claims something doesn’t make it true. Contact an experienced criminal defense attorney immediately.”

If you are charged with person crimes, sex crimes or domestic assault or other charges in Minnesota, this verdict may impact how the jury sees your case and how they look at evidence. It could potentially mean a lot. If you are charged, make sure you sit down with a Minnesota domestic assault or sex crimes attorney.
